My partner Alice and I did the stage slap. We could have improved by doing a louder knap. Alice could have kept her hand firmer while slapping. I could have given a more elaborate reaction .When we were practicing the slap the slap was okay but then as soon as we performed I first forgot my lines and requested to do it again. I learned that performing a stage slap in front of an audience is harder since the timing of the slap had to be perfect. The stage slap was hard for me since we had to keep so many things in mind while doing it especially the view of the audience and we had to make sure to time the slap perfectly. The freeze frame was hard since we had to just stop in the middle of the slap which messed up our timing. The dialogues were pretty good and the build up was seen. Next time I will remember these points for improvement and I will try and enhance further performances.

Unit reflection
I feel like I have developed my expressions because before I
didn’t know how to express myself and this class has really taught me how to
express my self using my expression. My greatest successes are my collaboration
skills I have really learned how to work as a group and get involved in group
discussions and how to voice my opinion in a group. Each member contributed in
some way I was the maiden in the silent movie and I was the villain in
ralficient. I did the costumes and props in both the silent movie and
raleficent and I also did the in ralificent. Nazih was the villain in the
silent movie and was the narrator in the second movie. Azaan did the script in
both movies and was the hero in both movies. Alice was the damsiel in the first
movie and was the maiden in the second movie and she did the editing of both
movies. TV shows and movies change the way we see the world because people
expressing themselves can change our perspective on the world because people’s
actions and words in TV shows and movie can have a strong impact on us. planned
our audience to be a little more interested in the play but I think they gave a
good reaction as they laughed at the funny parts and they looked very
interested. My new skills are expressions and I can use them in different art
skills because I can use them to express myself.
script
Script for Twisted Rapunzel Play.
Cast:
- Azaan: Finn Ryder.
- Nazih: Narrator
- Samia: Maleficent, the witch.
- Alice: Rapunzel.
Scene 1
(It was a beautiful day, where Rapunzel, a 16 year old girl was doing a job to earn some money, to buy some books. So she asked everyone if they wanted her to mow the lawn. Everyone refused except a mysterious woman known as Maleficent. The woman allows her to mow the lawn and Rapunzel is now found in the scene where she is mowing the Maleficent's garden.)
Maleficent: (In a mysterious and mystical voice) how are you doing my dear?
Rapunzel: Doing fine Madaam. I will be finished in another 20 minutes.
Malificent: OK but be warned, if you ruin my vegetable garden, then you will not leave well.
(Rapunzel has a cold and bad feeling of dread come down her spine.)
Rapunzel: Yes Madaam.
(When Rapunzel is finished, maleficent finds that her vegetable garden was actually ruined, yet she never got told the truth).
Maleficent: That ugly dirty girl ruined my VEGETABLE GARDEN! I SHALL CURSE HER!
(Maleficent runs to her sacred, mystical room that contains her fortune telling crystal ball.)
Maleficent: Orb oh mine, tell me where that dirty girl rests. Ah… it’s the tower near the waterfall. That girl better be ready for the consequences.
Scene 2
(Back at the tower, Rapunzel is chilling in her tower brushing her hair.)
Rapunzel: Since I never told that mystical lady my whereabouts, she can never harm me. Now I can check my twitter account.
(Maleficent sneaks up behind Rapunzel and cuts off her hair.)
Rapunzel (in a shocked face): YOU! BUT HOW!
Maleficent: First of all, you black hearted 2 faced girl, my name is Maleficent. Plus, I am a mystical lady who has spells and magic powers. I used my orbb to tell me your location. Plus, since you ruined my vegetable garden… (in a quiet voice) I couldn’t post it on my facebook account. (Looking at the audience) and now my friends that I am so uncool.
Rapunzel (putting her hand on the side of her mouth and looking at the audience and whispering tone): This woman is weird.
(Now Maleficent is looking with her eyes wide open at Rapunzel)
Maleficent: Enough talk you rascal! Prepare to be cursed! I curse you to never grow your hair again that this tower that you rest in will never let you out for there will be a barrier to block you!
Rapunzel: NO! PLEASE I BEG YOU! DON’T DO THIS TO ME!
(Rapunzel begins to cry!)
Maleficent: BUT… you did a good work on the rest of my garden and you were a dear lady, I will set a catch to your curse. You can only leave this castle, unless someone else stays with you and that you leave the castle with that person.
(Rapunzel is relieved!) Rapunzel: Thank you but who will come to help me leave this tower o’ mine.
Maleficent: That’s something that destiny will decide. Woohahaha (laughing in an evil woman way)!
Scene 3.
(Just outside of the tower where he rested, a lost, battered and tormented soul was roaming about. Looking for shelter. His name was Finn Ryder.)
Finn Ryder: I haven't seen jack. Is this land even habitable?! No Problem. Hmm (observing the tower) the tower looks empty and abandoned. I guess I should check it out!
(Finn Ryder is walking towards a tower and cannot find anything to get to in. Suddenly he finds a door.)
Finn Ryder: My dear Lord, please help me a shelter to live a lifestyle.
(Finn Ryder opens the door gently.)
(The kind hearted and good looking Finn Ryder started up the enormous flight of stairs.)
Finn Ryder: Alright, here I go.
(As Finn Ryder finally reached the top of the stairs, he started to open the door. As he did so, Rapunzel is a little bit frightened by the voice behind the room of her door.)
Rapunzel: AHHHHH!
Finn Ryder: Hello there. My name is Finn Ryder.
Finn Ryder: I was vigorously looking for shelter and I saw this tower and so I went I the enormous flight of stairs, to find you in this well designed room. So may I stay in it, or will you kick me back into the woods.
(Rapunzel suddenly remembers what Maleficent told her.)
Rapunzel: Alright Finn Ryder, I will let you stay in this tower on one condition. When I want to leave the tower, you must come with me. Do we have an agreement?
Finn Ryder (whispering to himself): This lady is crazy, but I have to admit that this is a pretty darn good place to live in.
Rapunzel: Well?!
Finn Ryder: I think it looks good. I think I shall except you offer…
Rapunzel: Rapunzel. My name is Rapunzel.
Finn Ryder: Thank you very much. I really appreciate your hospitality.
Scene 4
(Maleficent is looking through her mysterious orb and noticing Finn Ryder’s arrival to the tower.)
Maleficent: I knew that someone was going to some and save her. I just knew it. I guess being good, is good after all.
(Finally, Maleficent learns how good it is to be a good person and learned how to make the best cookies in her community. Rapunzel and Finn go on wonderful adventures. And me, as the narrator, I don't want to story to end, but with all regret I must say: That's the end of the show people.)
END OF PLAY
production meeting notes
Production meeting notes
1.
I am playing a character called maleficent who
is the villain in our movie.
2.
Convection1: The villain learns that being
good is good
I will use it at the end of the movie when I realized that the hero
rescues the damsel
Convection2: The hero finds the
damsel
In the middle of the movie the hero is looking for a shelter and finds a
tower where the damsel is resting.
Convection3: The damsel is
captured by the villain
In the beginning of the movie I
curse the damsel so she never leaves the tower
3.
I am will
be wearing an all-black costume because the villains always wear black because
it shows off there more evil side. I will be wearing a black hat with horns on
it because maleficent always wears that and she also has horn like shapes
coming out of her black top so I will also be wearing that.
4.
I don’t need many props but I need an orb to
tell me where Rapunzel is which I will use my phone for and I am going to use
my makeup brush as wand to cast a spell.

Peer assessment on Silent movie
I think our group is was substantial because we could have over exaggerated a little bit more. I think our movie was very funny and I like how our plot had a twist in the begning. The music was great but could improve a little bit.
I think that Jonas' group should get a substantial there editing could improve and there ending was very funny and great. There music complimented the scene but in some scenes the music got mixed a little.
I think that manya's group should get a substantial because there group concept could have been more clear the stock characters. It was funny and nice.
I think that anju's group should get substantial because there exaggeration was great the plot could have been more clear. The music complimented the movie very well. Adam acting was great.
